When should you start feeling the baby move every day? Is it 20 weeks?

i don't think there's any specific timetable or rule regarding baby movement. it seems like everyone starts feeling their baby's movement at different times in pregnancy. also, it seems like some women feel their babies more frequently and/or strongly than others. it can depend on several factors, like where the placenta is, the position of the baby, and whether the baby is more or less active.

the doctors start to care about movement frequency at around 32 weeks, or at least that's when my OB gave me my first "kick card". you're supposed to count your baby's kicks over a prescribed period of time (like an hour) and call your OB if you get fewer than a certain number of movements (for my OB, fewer than 4 movements/hr).

I started feeling the baby move everyday at 16.5 weeks but i think that's really early. i think it also has something to do with the amount of OJ I drink!

I didn't feel the baby move daily until maybe 22 or 23 weeks. My doctor said this was fine, as long as there was some movement going on.

I am 19 weeks and I thought I felt flutters last week, but haven't felt anything since then....I am a little disappointed about it, but then again I have been so busy with going back to work that I could be missing them.
