mounting tv in a corner
Is this possible?
Right now we have the TV in the corner of our den between the fireplace and bay windows. neither corner wall is wide enough to have the entire tv against the wall.
The stand is falling apart and I would like to mount the tv to a wall and just keep it at the corner angle and then mount some shelves above it for the boxes, etc...
here is an older picture with the current tv and stand - but nothing else is the same:
ETA: We have a huge mirror about the fireplace that I love - and mounting tv there is too high.

yes and no. i dont think they make corner mounts, but you can get a mount with an adjustable/tilting arm, so that it is is hung on one wall but pulled out and angled so that it looks as if it is corner mounted. i would go to a best buy or electronics store and confirm this, but it would seem to me that would be how you would do it

Re: mounting tv in a corner
There's two ways to do it.
one is via this
http://www.amazon.com/Peerless-CM850-Corner-Mount-Displays/dp/B001G9T09G
the other is to use a fully articulating wall mount which are MUCH cheaper, mount in on one side of a corner wall and angle it.

We put a wall mount with am adjustable arm in order to put it on the corner. Worked great until we got a bigger TV and it won't go in the soot admire

Thanks everyone! It seems the arm tilt will work.
Our friend is an architect and said that anything you physically mount in the house has to stay when you sell. The TV is actually getting old, so it wouldn't kill me to leave it, but I thought that sounded strange. Maybe we have to put into the contract that we are taking the tv?

Ask a realtor. I think this is wrong. I know when I was selling my old house, the realtor was asking me if I was leaving the chandelier in the DR or not. As a buyer, I would never expect that a seller would be leaving a wall-mounted TV. A chandelier yes, a TV no.
