Mortgage Frustration

After the good things we read on here, my husband and I decided to use Continental Home Loans for our mortgage.

We've been having a frustrating experience... it seems like they take their time getting back to us and aren't upfront about certain costs/fees. Anyone else have a not so great experience? Feel free to FM if you'd like... I often wonder how anyone has ever made it to closing on a house!!

My brother used them after i warned him not too - and he experienced a similar situation that you are. They took over 5 months to close.

Maybe it depends who you see there?

My guy at Continental e-mails me back within 30 minutes, if not sooner, every time I e-mail with a question.

We were just there today, signing papers for our loan...I feel things are moving quicker than I thought!

it must depend who you use there because I had a more then positive experience with them! I can give you the name of who I used. He always got back me right away etc and I closed quicker then expected

My mortgage guy was great there but one of his closers was not. I mostly dealt with him and definitely when I wanted an answer. Plus I was only in underwriting for a little over 1 day.
