More questions regarding stomach virus??
How do I know my son is completely over the stomach virus? He has been poop free since Tuesday night. He had major issues with food before he got sick and now it is worse..How do I know what to feed him that won't upset his stomach? How do I know what is too much for him to eat? Will he know when to stop? I don't want to make his belly worse. I am afraid he will get sick again.. I am so paranoid about this virus.. It went through the whole house so I am afraid it will go through it again. I have been cloroxing and lysoling everything since we got home on Monday.. DS started to get sick on Sat...I was giving him skim milk on Sat-Sun...And switched him back to his formula/skim milk monday into tuesday. He had a major vomit incident that landed us in the ER tuesday night, but the pedi thinks it was a bad reaction to Gerber puffs then anything to do with the virus. He had his last diarrehea diaper tuesday night. I am so confused. The ER gave us paper work that I was going by that said we can resume a normal diet 24-48 hours and the pedi said no dairy until Friday am..She saw him Wed morning.. I am confused what to do for him.. He cried hysterically for 30 minutes this morning...

If he doesn't want a bottle he won't take it. If he isn't throwing up any,ore I would give it to him.

Thanks..I had a million questions about this thing...He is feeling a lot better. I gave him skim milk bottles today and he has been fine. Getting his appetite back.
He had a severe soy allergy when he was younger. At 1 year, it was still bothering him. He didn't come off Elecare until 15 months. He will be 17 months next week. He use to have a bad reaction to Gerber puffs, but nothing like the huge vomit incident tuesday night. I reintroduced them last week and he seemed ok. But with his stomach not 100% and him eating them on an empty stomach, it must have absorbed more into his system and that was the result.. That is my thinking and the pedi's..I think I am going to have him tested for a soy allergy. It may be something in the puffs. he can't eat regular Gerber baby food either..
