Montreal!
I did a search on here but didn't find much.
DH and I are going for 3 nights in November, and would love some recommendations! Looking for things to do more than places to eat - that we have covered!
Accommodations are set - we will be staying in/near Old Montreal but are willing to drive a little bit for something really worthwhile.
TIA!!

Montreal!
I just came back from 4 days in Montreal and absolutely LOVED it.
The first day we got in we walked around Old Montreal and just got to know the area. We ate at The Keg which was a steakhouse and one of the best meals that we had.
The second day we took the metro to the Mont Royal stop and walked to the park. We spent the day walking to the top, around the top, and then back down. From the park we walked to Schwartz's for their famous smoked meat sandwiches. We then went to the Botanical Gardens and the Olympic Stadium. There wasn't too much to see at the gardens this time of year, but they had a beautiful Japanese Garden and the Chinese garden was all lit up at night. We ate at Stash which was a Polish restaurant and also very good.
The 3rd day we took the metro to Jean-Drapeau station and it was a separate island from Montreal. We rented bikes and biked around that whole island and another island that was just over a short bridge.
Obviously a lot of what we did was outside and I'm not sure what the weather will be like when you go. We lucked out and the weekend we went they had record breaking temperatures in the high 70s!

We just went in August with the kids -it was an AWESOME trip. We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Sherbourne (across from Magill University). It was a 15 minute walk to Old Montreal, the hotel was immaculate, rooftop pool was great. The underground mall is about a 5 minute walk. The malls are a bit confusing. Old City was awesome, there were so many food options, crepes, restaurants. We did the BioDome, the Leaning Tower and the Planetarium. We did the Science Center (kids focused), Old Towne walk. If we went this time of year I would look into maple syrup tours and festivals. Everyone is friendly and the concierge at the hotel was very very helpful.
ETA: There were a noticeable amount of homeless, it was sad. We did have some explaining to do with the kids. We saw a side of our children though that made our hearts warm. They wanted to give them meals and money and clothes.
