Sorry if TMI but I'm on vacation and have a yeast infection. I've only ever had 1 my whole.life so just my luck to get one on vacay! Anyway my ob told me to use monistat 3. I started wed night and after i used it i had insane itching and burning. I was shaking it was so bad. Last night was the same and now this morning its horrible too. Has anyone ever had this reaction to monistat? I'm so miserable! I think maybe I'm allergic or something.

maybe it isnt yeast? go to your doc to check if it is a bacterial infection (BV)

Yes - I've had this reaction to monistat. Before finding the culprit (an allergy to kotex products) I was getting them a lot and monistat always made it worse.
Try topical vagisil (check w doc if okay while PG). It's good for temporary relief. For me the only thing that cures it is prescription terconazole.

I emailed my Dr and he said to stop using it. Thank god bc the reaction was so much worse than the problem to begin with! I have an appt when I get back.
