Mom's with toddler girls with pierced ears
How often do you take out their earrings to be cleaned or to change them?
We did this with DD last night (she is almost 3) and it was a nightmare. Shes had them for almost 2 years. One fell out awhile ago and that was a nightmare trying to get it back in too.
I'm debating waiting to get DD #2 ear pierced until she is older because of this.

anytime I see them 'crusty" I clean them.
I will rub neosporin on them about 1X a week
Every few months (unless they are crusty!)

I don't take them out. I changed them when she was younger but we lost and they kept falling out. I put back in the ones they pierced with and so far they are the best. Never have a problem. I just leave them. She won't let me near her ears.

She won't even let me brush her hair, forget about letting me go near her earrings...she is almost 2 1/2. I try to look at them when I shower her. We have changed them twice since we got them pierced at 6 mths but it was a wrestling match.

I don't normally take my dd earrings out, however she will let me so every once in awhile I remove to clean. Other than that I do clean them during bath time while I am washing her hair or when she is in her high chair eating breakfast I will use that solution they give when you first get them pierced.

I just removed my 2 year old daughters earrings and will let them close up. No matter what i did, they were always infected and bothering her. She would pull at them and they would close up so quickly. It became torturous for her to try to put them back in. Last week, i finally asked myself why I continued to do this to her. So i took them out. If she wants them pierced when she is older, I will take her then.

Every couple of months we change them . She used to give me a hard time but now show her the pretty pair of earrings and she gets excited and let's me switch and clean them . I'd say don't frequently and she'll get better with it ! Hth
