Moms who put bottles in the dishwasher-HELP
DH and I are looking to get a dishwasher since we recently re-did our kitchen. I plan on putting DD's bottles in there to get washed. I HATE washing them by hand.
My question is should we look for a dishwasher with a sanitation option or that's not necessary. What setting do you wash your bottle on?
TIA!!

I was told that the regular heated water in a dishwasher is hot enough to keep it sanitized

I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but if I let the silicone nipples sit in the dishwaster too long after they are done drying, they develop this cloudy film on them. Does anyone else have this problem?

Me!
Do you have the basket? Take the basket out right away and that helps.

Yup, that's what I've been doing! Sometimes I forget though and have the wash the darn things by hand!

I just run the bottle through the regular cycle. I still boil the nipples and pacifiers (sometimes I will throw these in the dishwasher) only out of habit though, not out of necessity.
