Moms who have MTHFR - a Question
I have an A and a C copy of MTHFR. I struggled for 2 years to get pregnant and at one point was prescribed Metnax. I am 8 mos pp and still taking my prenatal, Metnax, fish oil and vitamin D. I am still breast feeding. Recently I got a blood panel done because I had been getting a headache every day at 3pm and all my levels came back normal. I specifically had them check folic acid.
My question is did you stay on the Metnax or folgard after giving birth? Do you plan to stay on it forever? No doctor really even knows what it is when I tell them what I take. I am considering stopping it but don't know if I should, do what did you do/will you do?
Thanks!

Moms who have MTHFR - a Question
I took folgard for both pregnancies, but came off of it once I gave birth. I didn't breastfeed, though, not sure if that matters.

Moms who have MTHFR - a Question
I was on metnax and came off after pregnancy. My doc has me taking a baby aspirin every other day.

Re: Moms who have MTHFR - a Question
Im not sure if its MTHFR, but I was on it for a clotting issue while pregnant. The dr said I should stay on because my body doesn't break down folic acid properly and metnax is pre-broken down. I came off because it costs $80/mo.
