Moms who have had 2 or more kids...

Did you find that your pregnancies were very similar or entirely different from eachother?

And how did that correspond with the sex of your baby?

This pregnancy has been SOOOO different from when I was PG 6 years ago with Emily!

And of course we are team green so we won't know until March if they were different because we are having a boy this time, or just because!

I'm curious about everyone's experiences!

Well i'm in a similar boat as you. dc is 3. Although for me, the 2 pregnancies are exactly the same (this one is even easier if that's possible). But we're team as well.

I had small differences....severity of MS, and different symptoms. Like I had crazy charlie horses with DD, my skin was a mess, and I had a lot of energy. With DS, my MS was worse than DD, my skin looked great, I had insomnia, I got BH at the end, and I was exhausted. With this one, my MS was the worst, my skin is mildly a mess, I sleep well at night, I have BH now, and I'm exhausted. I carried the same with first 2 pregnancies. Headed the same with this. So I have no idea what this baby is.

My pregnancy with DD1 was the same with this pregnancy and its a , with my DS I wasn't that sick with MS and had a pretty nice pregnancy! Totally different with each sex!

All three pregnancies are similar -- except this time I'm craving onions and I feel like my complexion is worst this time. I'm carrying the same, gaining the same amounts of weight in the same areas, sleeping similar amounts, etc.

My second pregnancy was very similar to my first except it was a bit worse. Both boys.

This one seems to be the same as the first two, so I'm voting that it's another boy.

So....

With Emily I had severe constant all the time morning sickness that started at 6 weeks and lasted until week 26. I was sick several times a day, and even until the end I was never able to take my vitamins because no matter what time I took them and with how much food, they always made me sick!

I also never experienced heartburn, had really bad sciatica, and really bad charlie horses almost every night that woke me up.

This pregnancy I had nausea in the 1st trimester but didn't throw up once. I have had heartburn for the first time in my life. The sciatica hasn't been too bad yet (I'm 20 weeks) --- just a few random days, and I haven't had a charlie horse yet either.

I think I am carrying about the same with both pregnancies, although it's hard to tell because I weighed a lot more with my 1st pregnancy. I also think my face has been the same with both pregnancies...as far as pimples, face changing, etc....I don't think there was much of a difference and my skin has been fairly clear.

I am way more exhausted this time around from what I can remember!

I wonder if I am having a boy!

NOT 1 second of morning sickness

This time around, I have been nauseous for weeks. It just strated to subside (Im 9 weeks now) I still get little bouts here and there but nothing as bad as it has been

My first two were very similar. Although I did have nausea in the first tri with my DD but did not have any MS with my DS. I don't even want to compare this 3rd pregnancy to my other two since its 6 years later, I am that much older, etc. and I've had a host of complications this time that I didn't have with either before.

I craved OJ, Taco Bell and greasy burgers wih my boy. I craved carbs with my girl - namely bagels! And lots of ice cream with my girl.

My pregnancy now is different in some ways to my first. I won't know for a few months if they are the same sex or not.

But my friend has had 3 pregnancies, all SOOOOO different from one another in terms of symptoms, belly shape, etc., and all 3 have been girls. So I truly believe that you can have the same sex and still have differences.

The pregnancies were mostly the same, though I think I carried a little differently with DD (higher) and my MS/nausea lasted longer than it did with DS.

My first two were very similar:

-very little m/s
-very easy pregnancies
-increased sex drive throughout most of pg
-fruit cravings
-very active babies in the womb
-moderate appetite

my second pregnancy was better than my first - glowing skin, nice hair, not alot of weight gain, very easy and comfortable, and low to moderate appetite.

Those were both boys.

This one:
-m/s lasted until 11 weeks
-bad skin in the beginning
-zero sex drive in the first tri then super increased sex drive in 2nd tri
-super emotional & moody
-sciatica, round ligament pain, and back pain all starting in 2nd trimester
-lazy baby, hardly ever moves
-hungry ALL the time

This one is a girl (are you surprised? LOL)

HOWEVER, I do attribute alot of my new symptoms with this pregnancy to being older rather than to gender - specifically the sciatica, round ligament pain and back pain. It's been almost 7 years since my first pg, and even though I am technically more fit and continue to work out with this pg (I had stopped at 15 weeks with my first pg) - I feel like age is playing a much bigger role in this pregnancy. And I'm only in my early mid thirties.

Second pregnancy was a breeze, I felt a little sick only for about a week, Felt great, thought I looked great, gained only 20 lbs. and only in the belly. I had a

Third pregnancy, we are team green this time around and I'm just shy of 11 weeks, I feel like crap, I severe ms again, I think I look horrible.. My guess is just b/c it's the same pregnancy as my DD all over again.. We will see in May

I'm carrying the same with both. Had M/S with both. This pregnancy was really bad. I lost 7lbs.

The differences. First pregnancy went so well. I had no complications and even labor was not so bad. The only two issues I had was a low laying placenta which moved up at 28 weeks and the baby was laying on a nerve in my back during 3rd trimester causing me some back pain.

THis pregnancy has been nothing but problems. I had bleedingin the beginning due to low progestrone. I was put on progestrone suppositories for first 10 weeks. Which caused me alot of bleeding. I had low Vitamin D and low potassium even though I take my pre-natals everyday. I have been having sugar in my urine, and high sugar levels when they prick my finger. Getting tested at 28 weeks which I'm sure will be GD. Now I just go the news I have a partial Placenta Previa. I'm on pelvic rest as of now. Hoping it will move, we will see.

According to old wives tales, I should be having a girl. My M/S was awful, chinese lunar calender said girl, the HR has always been in the 150s. I even kind of tried for a girl BD before OV in missionary style. And it's a Boy! So you never know.
