moms preggo with #2
Does anyone feel totally different this time around? I was so much more relaxed for the first two thirds of this pregnancy, but now I am totally freaking out. I'm having Braxton HIcks, which I never had with DD. I'm scared to death of going into labor and being home alone with DD. She is 2.5. I had a c-section with DD, and am scared to death of having a vaginal birth with this one, even though I have a scheduled C-section planned, if I go into labor on my own first, my OB says there no reason not to try for a vbac. I'm scared to death, which I wasn't for the past 7 months. Anyone else feel this way?

This pregnancy, from conception on, was TOTALLY different than my first. But I have my mom's voice in my head reminding me that every baby is a new adventure. It's become my mantra.
Did you go into labor with your first? It's (usually) not like in the movies, where you have two contractions and a baby pops out. If you go into labor alone in the house, do you have a family member close by that can come and stay with you until your DH gets home?
If your OB genuinely thinks that you're a good VBAC candidate, go for it. I've been researching VBAC for about two years. If it's handled correctly, there's minimal risk involved. Keep in mind that repeat c-sections aren't risk free; it's still major abdominal surgery. Know the risks and statistics of both sides and make a decision from there.

Re: moms preggo with #2
with my first, my water broke like a bloody river - it was crazy, but I never dilated, and couldn't be induced because every time they put pitocin on the baby's heart rate fluctuated. After over 24 hours of being in the hospital with no progress, I had a c- section. I never got past 3 centimeters. I kind of don't want to go through that again... I don't want to sit in the hospital forever just to end up with a c-section.
I am lucky, my mom is a half hour away, and my neighbors are all great, but I can just imagine myself in a bloody puddle with DD.....
I'm OK, was just having a bad night and needed to vent.
I'm going with the scheduled C unless I go into labor before the date. If I do, I'll play it by ear and see what happens.

Completely scared, because my first pregnancy was uneventful until the end, which became so emergent...I am so afraid of it happening again, and NOT getting the help i need this time. I will be glad when this is all over, and I never have to think about being pregnant again.

I'm afraid this time around much more since it has been completely different from my first. Also, towards the end I am getting nervous about being in labor. With my first I was in labor for 28 hours, and now I feel like I won't get to the hosipital on time since its been the complete opposite pregnancy.

It's totally normal to be afraid... but it'll work out, no matter what you pick.
