Moms pls. help
I just got my furniture - and I can't for the life of me get the fitted sheet on - am I doing something wrong?

OMG!! The fitted sheets are the freakin hardest thing to put on the mattress 
Like MrsERod said - take the mattress out of the crib and do it.
Thats how I have to do it.

don't throw the sheets in the dryer....seriously.
when you wash them, take them out still slightly wet and hang them....it might make life a little easier

Have your DH do it.  Or did you get it done yet? Maybe check the height of the sheet and the mattress to make sure it can fit.

Tah-Wee-Zah told me an idea that never occurred to me, but I wish I knew:
For those middle of the night changes when you're half blind from the light, holding baby & trying to get the sheet off:
2 layers on the mattress :
Waterproof pad
Sheet
Waterproof pad

Definitly take out the mattress and untie half the bumper. Also Koala sheets from BRU that are eygptian cotton seem to run a little big and do not shrink in the dryer at all and they go completely under the mattress all the way around.
I also used the sheet saver in the bassinet over the sheet because he always leaked. I just tucked the ties underneath and I would pull it up and put another one down. He didnt roll around so it always stayed put and the underneath of it was viynal. He was in the bassient until 3 months so we had the leaking problem under control. If you are going to put in the crib right away you can do the same thing because they dont roll around or you can tie it to the bed and put him the short way so he is sleeping on the sheet saver.

MAke sure you use a pad or ten over it then, so you dont have to take it off too many time in the middle of the night...
AND Can you come over and help me put mine on after my shower?

I just bought the ultimate crib sheet...best 17.99 I ever spent.

Buy an Ultimate Crib Sheet...makes that horrible job of changing the sheets a little easier since you wont have to do it as much!

I did too, I find the cotton jersey ones fit the best, they are a little bigger.
