Moms of girls...

Pls don't quote bc this is an embarrassing question!

How well do you clean your DD's privates after a poopy? My DD is 7.5 mos and still has semi-loose poops and many go up the front ugh. So I need to clean good but feel like I could be hurting her when I spread and dig in there with a wipe. Sometimes i fold the wipe and do a swipe but I dunno overall it is hard to get it all out. But at the same time I don't want poopy staying in there! Not sure if it is her anatomy or if this is common?

When that does happen, which isnt often, my dd is 11 months, I like you, am concerned about hurting her so I make sure I am extra gentle when i open her anatomy. And go slow to make sure everything is cleaned out. I go one side than the other then a sweep from front to back. I stil do it yhe way the nurse showed mr when she was first born lol Its better to do that than leave anything behind because it can lead to a uti.

I use my hand to open her up and wipe very gently. She never seems bothered by it.

I open and wipe but if its a messy poop I always hold her under the sink and quickly rinse her off with a little soap.

ITA but it has never seemed to bother her. I don't want a bad rash or UTI so I would even allow a little discomfort for her to be cleaned properly.

My 11-month-old still has poops that go to the front. I just spread and dig right in each crevice to make sure I get everything. She complains a little, but better that than a UTI later.

I always made sure to spread and clean fully. If it was really messy, I followed up with a quick bath. It's important to keep little girls clean diwn there.

My ped actually told me to fold the wipe and dab up and down. I think it actually works! Then there's no wiping to keep spreading the poop etc
