Moms of DC with speech issues - Kaufman flash cards
Our SLP is trying new things with DS. I LOVE HER!!!! And so does DS!
Today she brought those flash cards for speech I had never seen.
I looked into them. There are really for children with apraxia but I really liked those flash cards. They are $$$ so I am going to wait for her to go a few sessions with him to know if if it's worth it to buy.
Just wanted to share for moms with DC and speech issues.

have you tried looking at the materials sold by superduperinc.com or linguisystems.com? there are many other great products too that are similar to the kaufman kit. for some reason, when they make and market a product for SLPs it is $$$$. sometimes I find things in the educational catalogs for less $ but similar function and modify it for speech use.

Thank you for the tip. It's hard as a mom to find "REAL" working tools for DS and it's a bit overwhelming on where to start to find all those resources/tools.

I was just talking to a therapist about these cards and how we want to incorporate them into programs. Luckily I work with speech therapists. I'm hoping someone has them so I can see and try them out!
