Moms of 3 yr old ? regarding favorite books
What are your 3 yr DC favorite books.
It is time to update our selection because I have them all memorized now.

DD has a few "collection" type books. One set of fairy tales, nursery rhymes, poems, etc. It was a set of books my dad had as a child and I read when I was little (all the grimm stories, aesop fables etc, plus many more).
DD#1 also loves a disney collections book - it has a ton of various disney tales - we read a couple every day and she will sit with the book for a long time looking thru it.

How funny- I went to borders this weekend a got a new supply b/c ours is getting old and tired. We bought the sleepy little alphabet and they love it- go hysterical when I read it. I find with them that they react better with funny books. It keeps their attention and they always request the funny books to be read over and over. I also got Walter the farting dog.

any....lol....dd loves all them, but she does love the brown bear, brown bear/baby bear, baby bear/polar bear, polar bear ones....
we also get animal baby still (the magazine), high five and national geographic for kids and she enjoys them too....

My kids loved (and actually STILL love) Mo Willems books - Leonardo the Terrible Monster, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Don't Let the Pigeon Stay Up Late, etc..
They also loved/love No David, David Goes to School, Where The Wild Things Are, Tuesday, The Missing Piece, The Giving Tree, In The Night Kitchen, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig... to name a few.
Basically I think they enjoyed the stories I liked best.. any story that allows you to put on characters, use different voices and tickle their funny bones will engage their interest!

we go to the library and DD picks out 3 or 4 books at a clip- she has so much fun doing it and it's become a fun little routine.. she even sits and waits so I can pick out a book....
she's really liked:

the lorax
Eloise and Eloise in Paris (just recently took her to the plaza too. she loves it)

The Giving Tree - but this makes ME cry
Where's Waldo? - nobody cries 
She's loving fairy tales and nursery rhymes lately.
Also the "Good Night" books of all different places we've been to....

We have a ton of old books from my now 12 year old cousin's collection so I am constantly changing them around but DS loves the Eric Carle ones (like brown bear, what do you see?)

My DS will be 3 in a few months. His favorites are the Eric Carle books, Sandra Boynton books and the "If you Give a mouse a cookie" series.
