The hardest part was in the beginning. The sleepless nights plus getting my older one adjusted to the baby. But honestly, it wasn't so bad. My younger one is now 10 months and it's pretty smooth sailing.

My older one still needs a LOT of attention & it's hard to do an even split.
Oh, and you have no more time... Ever. Statistically, one kid will need something at all times.

Ditto! DD2 is now 10 months and they are the cutest lil friends and playmates. The beginning was just an adjustment for all of us, but having a newborn will be regardless. We were lucky though bc even at just 2 years old DD1 was very communicative and easy which made things run smooth. Now that's she's almost 3, she's a handful!

It's a lot more hectic - there are two people that need you instead of one. And neither one of them understand why you have to help the other one instead of them first.
It gets a little easier as you get out of the newborn stage but, it is still hard. Now at 3 and 1 there is a lot of fighting over toys.

The hardest part for me was that when the newborn would cry, she would always wake up the oldest so now I had 2 crying kids in the middle of the night who wanted me.

I find the hardest part to be having zero time for myself. Like others have said, you now have two kids who need you and neither one understands why you can't split yourself in half to be there for both at the same time. My son is 4.5 and my daughter is 19 months and even though my son understands when I need to focus more of my attention on his sister, he still needs me. I find it hard because I feel guilty when my daughter monopolizes my time and my son is left to either play on his own or sit and watch tv. Don't get me wrong, when I see the two of them playing together or making each other laugh, it is priceless, but it is definitely difficult to divide the time equally.

This exactly, but when I see them playing and laughing together it makes me so happy n glad I gave ds1 a brother.

I have a 2 1/2 year old and a 11 month old. The hardest part for me was the pregnancy. Ds 1 was so good and patient but it was exhausting. Ds 2 had acid reflux in the beginning and now he has pretty bad eczema. The unexpected is a very hard adjustment sometimes too. My first never had any issues thank god so I was pretty spoiled. I wouldn't trade my boys for anything. They have an incredible bond and love their momma : )

Getting us all (I'm a SAHM) ready and out of the house and running errands, etc. was probably the most difficult part for me. In the grand scheme of things though, it was only a moment in time...

Hmmmmm I think it was the beginning as well. I ebf so I was up with him at night and instead of sleeping when he slept during the day I had an almost 2 year old to contain! The lack of sleep was the hardest for me. I also felt, and still feel like my day is completely wrapped up in them. I have very little down time. When one child's needs are met another needs something. I also struggle with making sure i'm being fair. I don't want Greens to feel like Gray is always getting my attention. It does get better and now that they are 3 and 1 it is nice. They play together and I do have a bit more time to breath. The 1st few weeks and months were hard, but worth it.

True. The other night DS 1 was pushing around DS 2 on this little ride on truck and the two of them were hysterical. And DS 1 likes to play peek a boo with DS 2 and the giggles are priceless.

Re: Moms of 2+ please come in
Sleep deprivation.
I thought I was exhausted when I had DS#1. At least I was able to nap when he napped since I only had 1 child. When DS#2 was born, I was beyond exhausted. The first few months were brutal.
As other stated, it gets easier. Now I have a 2yo and 4yo and they play (and fight) so well together. They keep each other entertained. It is great!
