Mommy & me??

I was wondering if any moms wanted to join a mommy and me thing together...???

I was thinking of looking into the mommy n me swim thing at safety swim...but am interested in anyting... I just thought it would be cool if we could get a bunch of LIF moms to do it together....

Im in suffolk county...and am willing to travel somewhat...

Mommy & Me at Safe-t-swim would be awesome! I used to work at Dunrite Pools in Bohemia and the one right there in the same shopping center is so awesome. We used to help them with all thier pool stuff -- we built the pools for them!!

I wish I were closer so I could do this also!

Are you going back t owork? I go back on Dec 1st and I'm really not wanting to at ALL

Its in smithtown, if we get at least 5 people together she might do a sat session for those moms who work...

She also has had a childproofing expert come in, a creative memories rep, a photographer and infant massage person come in to learn how to do infant massage.

Im into whatever mommy and me, we agree on... but I def. wanna get this moving!!!

My daughter and I did the Mommy & Me swim class at Safety Swim in Bohemia and we both enjoyed it.

What is the age group for the Saturday thing you are trying to put together. I would be interested (my daughter will be a year old next week) in doing the Saturday class. I work full-time Mon thru Friday, so Saturday would work really well! We live in Ronkonkoma.

Just an FYI-

Because Amber and Isabelle are standing and/or walking they would be in a different class. I think the cut off for the baby one is 8-9 months depending on development. She has another group for 9-to over a year. I don't know if she has a Saturday. But again if you can get a group of 5 (She must have 5 to run a class) then she might be able to run one on a Saturday for you. She can also do a playgroup one for you guys too if you get a group together and book it. Sharon the classes are something like 13 weeks or 12 weeks so I don't know if you would make it before you start working Saturdays. I will talk to you later about you working Saturdays

Anyways, my daughter LOVES it there. I have seen so much growth in her fine motor skills since going there. I will be so sad when our group ends in December. When we first started none of the babies could hold the bells, shakers or sit on their own. Now they are all rolling, sitting and grasping the manipulatives. They know what the manipulatives are and what to do with them and the MOST adorable thing ever is when they do Shakey Baby and Freeze Dance and the kids know exactly what to do! As soon as Miss Jeanne hands my daughter her bells and she knows exactly where she is and doesn't stop smiling until class is over and she is so pooped at the end! The kids are so adorable to watch!

You definitely have to have 5 though. We had a problem with that in our group and we were down to 4 and then one was sick for along while so with 3 class is hard because the interaction between the kids makes it so much fun too!

As Marissa said we have had a child-proofing expert come in, a creative memories person, a photographer (for class pictures and christmas pictures) and tomorrow a baby massge person. None of them (except the photographer for obvious reasons) are allowed to sell their items they are there for information. We made a scrapbook page with the creative memories one. Never once did she mention cost of items or booking a party or anything. It was just a how to. The baby proofing guy didn't push his wares either it was more information and best products that we could buy as non professional and ideas of things that not everyone thinks of. I can't wait for the massage person tomorrow!!!

The crafts we have made have been adorable also and great keepsakes for when my daughter is older. Any other questions please feel free to FM me.

I'd be interested in the Smithtown class - more so during the week though - Sat and Sun is Daddy/family day

I was in a Mommy N Me class with my daughter but didn't sign up again for the winter because my daughter can't get the flu shot and I don't want her around all those kids. (Her dr thinks she has egg allergies and the flu shot is made in eggs so she could have a bad reaction if she got one.)
Once the winter passes, I would like to sign her up for something else. She seemed to like it.

We had baby massage today and we LOVE it! We also did some baby yoga!!!

She is definitely up for doing Saturday classes. She said today because there are women from my class that want another session so she would do 2 on Sat one for the babies and one for the 9 months + I believe.
