Mom approved costume sizing - small or medium?
DD is a 3T and is near the top of the size guidelines for a small. I want to buy with a little "room to grow", but I think the medium will be much too long to wear now. Does anyone have a medium, and is the dress length 31 inches (length I found online)? Unless I'm measuring DD incorrectly, a 27 inch will be floor length on her.

Re: Mom approved costume sizing - small or medium?
Im wondering this too. My dd would fit perfectly into small but would like to get a year or 2 of use. I noticed some costumes are longer than others - I may stick to the shorter dresses and add a slip.
Eta: never mind, the shorter seeming ones are one size fits all anyways! (5 star). Maybe I will stick to those so I don't have to make a decision, lol!

I'll try to remember to let you know how they fit. I didn't go for the 5 star because I thought they would be too baggy on top.

Mom approved costume sizing - small or medium?
Got a couple of dresses. DD could still wear the small over clothes, but it was difficult to get on. The medium is a better fit. It is 31 inches long, but just barely touches the ground on my DD, so I'll try to do a no-sew shortening just so she doesn't trip.

No problem.
We decided to keep the small and medium since DD1 has wanted to wear them since trying on and I haven't felt like adjusting the mediums yet. My younger DD will grow into the small ones, so I don't mind keeping them. I still wish they were looser because DD needs my help to get in and out of them. (She has been watching the Frozen movie and changing Anna and Elsa costumes depending on the movie part).
I wanted to mention though, that Anna and Elsa, possibly others, do have some glitter and it does come off. It's not a lot. It's a glitter paint so it's not just falling off the costume, but I have noticed some glitter around the house.

That stinks there's glitter; I thought that was the whole point, that there isn't any! Thank you for th sizing info. I should probably start my Xmas shopping soon, though I'm thinking a dress up set of princess stuff may be a great gift from dc2 to dd, he or she is expected right after Christmas!
