Re: mojito recipe for a pitcher
it's really hard to make a pitcher of fresh mojito.
can I suggest you make a frozen one? it's easier to serve to a crown and friggin fabulous.
it's basically a pint of lime sorbet in a blender with seltzer, fresh mint, and rum. whip that up until margarita consistency. serve with a lime wedge and a mint sprig.
if you are determined to make mojitos in bulk, this is what I do.
I get the largest glass I have in the house and make a mojito in it until I have the measurements perfectly.
then I make as many indy ones in this glass that I need to fill up my pitcher.
this has been the best method. I am "famous" in my circle for my kick asss mojitos and it's the only way I found to keep them consistently good.
after a while, the rind and pith from the lime being immersed gets the whole thing a bit to sour...but a mojito isn't a mojito without freshly muddled lime, sugar and mint...you know.....so it's tough. I make a small pitcher and content myself to have to repeat the process at least a few times in the course of the evening.
but it's worth it. I love them. and miss them so.
