Our mobile worked wonders for us!! It was so great when we started putting our son to bed awake, helping him to learn to soothe himself to sleep. We have the Fisher Price Precious Planet projection mobile, which is awesome! It's a regular mobile, with 4 animals that move around in a circle, but they all hang from this dome, and when the mobile is going, it projects moving images of cute baby animals on it. He was mesmerized by this! It has the option to play music, nature sounds, or heartbeat, and we've used all of them at different times! Once they are old enough that the mobile is a safety hazard (when they can reach the hanging animals), you can detach the whole dome portion, and then the images project onto the ceiling. Such an awesome product- I highly recommend it!!
