MMR shot Q
If your DC got the MMR shot, did he/she have any reaction afterward? DS is 21 month and had his well visit this morning and they gave him the MMR shot. I was just wondering what your DC's reaction to it was, if any. TIA!

Re: MMR shot Q
18 months- He was EXTREMELY cranky w/ low great fever (100-101)at 9 days after the vax. Wouldn't nap/sleep. The next day he had a very mild rash (as commonly described) that lasted 24 hours. Totally fine the day after it went away. My friends twins had very similar reactions about 10 days after the vax. I think most rxn's occur 7-14 days after injection.

DD was two when she got it and had a fever for maybe 2 days of about 101. She acted perfectly normal and happy though!

Re: MMR shot Q
I don't remember the exact details but DD had a fairly significant reaction. I know she had a temp, was cranky, clingy and just "off" for at least a week if not two. She got the fever you hear about and a rash. I'm pretty sure that was about 10 days out.

MMR shot Q
dd got it at 2 years old and after 10 days was VERY cranky, clingy and the biggest one was that her legs hurt and didnt want to walk. she COULD walk - she just didnt want to bc her legs hurt. I was glad she was old enough to verbalize that bc I would have been freaked out if she didnt walk for 3 days and didnt know what was really going on! lol. it all lasted about 3 or 4 days.

MMR shot Q
My twins got the shot at their 3 year visit and on day 9 they both came down with a low grade fever. 100-101.5
ETA: They say that the child will get a reaction typically 9-10 days after the vaccine has been given.

Re: MMR shot Q
Exactly 7 days later she got a fever of about 100-101. It lasted about 24 hours, came down with motrin, and that was it. She acted fine though and the only symptom was that fever.

DD also had red spots (like a mild version of chicken pox) for about a week. Took her back to the ped, they said to wait and see. No itchiness or other symptoms. She's fine now.
