Yes, I would remove all decorations. Make the house look as "simple" as possible.

Re: MLS pictures..

Yup, I would...Try to keep it neat and clean.
Also, when we sold our co-op, we were told to remove everything from the refrigerators and kitchen countertops. Don't try to personalize your home. The new buyers want to picture themselves in your house, not look at your pics....it apparently distracts them.

Good luck!!!Chat Icon

Re: MLS pictures..

Also make sure your bathroom mirrors are clean and don't leave soap bars, washcloths, cosmetics and such out.

I'd sweep your front walk, driveway and any decking so it doesn't have leaves on it too.

I know I'd notice all these little things, and some of the houses were quite obvious that they weren't the cleanest of people. That made me worried about the upkeep of the house.

Re: MLS pictures..

Make sure they take pictures that show how big the rooms are. We keep seeing pictures of people's bathroom cabinets, or 'stuff'....we don't want to see what things you have in your bathroom, or the bed you have, we want to see the room.

Make sure they take them from many angles, and of all the rooms.
