Missing item purchased at Target
I bought a few items today at Target and a pair of gloves are missing. I see they are on my receipt. I only had two bags and checked my car. It wasn't that much $$ but annoys me. Should I go in with my receipt next time I am in the store?

I once got home without a purchase from Target and went back and they gave me another right from the shelf not even checking if the bag was there.
Embarrassingly it was a preg test so maybe they just felt bad, but hey those things got expensive

They will honor it.
I once left a box of diapers underneath my cart and called when I got home.
They let me go and get another one no questions asked.

I had the same happen at Target; where I got home and a sweatshirt was missing. Went in & they honored it no problem.

9 times out of 10 the customer misplaced it but I'd call and see, you never know could have been a cashier mistake

Yes, I'd call. I had a cashier forget to give me a whole bag once. I went back a few hours later and he still had it next to his register.

The only thing is I don't have a Target very close to me. I think I will keep the receipt on hand and in the next week go in store and let them know.

Yeah I don't know if they would honor it after a week went by if you just showed up with a week old receipt claiming you left something. Definitely call and get the name of the person you spoke to so they have a record of it.

I always am missing items but I assume that I lost them between my trunk and my house. DH and our nanny often put things away. I don't know how many times I have asked DH where XYZ item from Target bag is. He never has any idea what I am talking about. lol
I most often am missing birthday cards and small arts and crafts. I assume DH threw it out by accident.

That is my problem. By the time I notice the item is missing, it has been a week or so and I have no idea if I lost it or I left it. I never bothered calling the store. I just assume it is my error.
