Missed Miscarriage...UPDATE

OK so I think I'm driving myself nuts...

I woke up with morning with no pregnancy symptoms (I'm 11wks 2days). I had a m/c in Dec '06 around 6-7wks. I AM SO PARANOID that I had another miscarriage because I don't have any symptoms. I don't have any crampy or bleeding/spotting.

I actually just rented a fetal heart monitor from babybeat.com so I can check for a heartbeat before I call the doctors.

Am I just being overly paranoid or should I worry because I do not have any symptoms.

UPDATE: I ordered a fetal heart monitor from babybeat.com. It just got delivered so I ran home on lunch because I've been sick to my stomach the last 2 days.

THERE WAS A HEARTBEAT...168bmp and I had no trouble finding it. I guess I just have no symptoms anymore Chat Icon

Thank you ladies for listening to me.

Re: Missed Miscarriage

it was around that time that i lost all of my symptoms too. it's so hard when you can look in and see your baby anytime you want. everything is TOTALLY fine with my Chat Icon

if i could afford it i totally would have rented a fetal doppler. when is your ultrascreen scheduled for?

Maybe you should call the doctors anyway to calm your nerves.Chat Icon

Re: Missed Miscarriage

My next ultrasound isn't until June 2nd. Yes, it seems so close but when you're paranoid it's seems so far away Chat Icon

Did you call your drs office when you lost your symptoms?

Re: Missed Miscarriage

I totally understand your anxiety.....

I lost all symptoms for a period of about 3-5 weeks starting around week 11 (when my food aversions and boob pain disappeared).

It's scary becuase you can't feel kicks yet. However, it is exceptionally common to not feel anything at that time. I think as long as you have no scary symptoms (spotting, bleeding, mentstrual cramping), everything is fine

no, i didn't, but that's because i lost my symptoms betwwen 10 and 11 weeks, and i had my ultrascreen at 11W5D. plus, i never suffered from a miscarriage.

honestly, if it will make you feel better, call our doctor. they can always have you come in just to listen for the HB. it's scary, i know, but more than likely, everything is fine Chat Icon

Re: Missed Miscarriage

Thank you so much. I have to admit that I'm not enjoying the first trimester Chat Icon . I'm so nervous about losing the baby that I'm driving myself insane. I hope everything gets better.

My problem is that I read the internet and of course the first thing that pops up "missed miscarriage" and that you would lose your pregnancy symptoms. That's not what I wanted to read.

All last night I was hitting my boobs to see if they would hurt and no luck...not even this morning. I'll call the drs just to see what they have to say.

Re: Missed Miscarriage

Tina, I think the symptoms start to fade as you near the 1st trimester. At 11 weeks, you're at about that point.

If you're still concerned, perhaps you can share this with the doctor and he/she may be able to monitor you more closely.

Good luck and don't worry! Stress isn't good for the baby! :)

Re: Missed Miscarriage...UPDATE

Once your placenta takes over production of most of the hormones your symptoms will lessen. Everyone calls the 2nd tri the honeymoon period for that reason. Tell your Dr how stressed you are and that you'd like to do a few more sonos to ease your mind. I am in the same boat as you and feel I cannot relax. I am hoping it gets better in the next few weeksChat Icon
