Miss N.J. releases blackmail photos
Miss New Jersey released about a dozen embarrassing photographs of her partying and drinking exclusively to TODAY on Thursday. The blonde beauty queen claims the images were sent to pageant officials in an effort to force her to give up her crown.
“I feel sick to my stomach. I really do,” Amy Polumbo told host Matt Lauer. “You know, they’re not that bad, but they were meant to be private. And it is making me feel very vulnerable that the entire country has to see them now because of this situation.”
The photos really aren’t that bad, by contemporary standards, but they aren’t necessarily good for the 22-year-old theater major’s public image, either.

I saw that this morning and I felt so bad for her. The pics were just her being silly with her friends, they were really nothing bad at all.

Ever since the whole Vanessa Williams debacle way-back-when, I think pageants are a set up. They pick the one who they know have lots of ratings-grabbing skeletons in their closet, put a crown on her head and let the chips fall where they may.

Playboy was the best thing that ever happened to Vanessa Williams' career. Nobody cares much about pageant winners past the night they win. Ok at least I dont.

the pictures were pretty tame and not newsworthy in my opinion...
The whole thing just seemed odd after I saw the pics...maybe she mailed them to the organization...who knows

I think the whole premise of Miss America is for the birds. In fact, the whole pageant thing is for the birds.
We hold Miss America to higher standards than we do for the President.
