Miss Debbie's (day care)

IS anyone going to sign up their future baby for that center?? Or does anyone currently use it? I started looking at centers in the syosset/plainview area and I like that one (and bright horizons) both equally a lot.

Bright horizons (woodbury) is way out of budget for some reason... it's priced above anything else in the area
Everyone on LI families says debbie's is very pricey too, but it seems to be comparable with all the other ones around- specifically about the same price as kiddie academy (although KA is open an hour or so later, and the same price as shalom for the hours).

I do like kiddie academy too,... it's a few hundred cheaper i think per month i don't remember exactly.

I'm looking for any feedback on the place. I think I will post this in both parenting and pregnancy. Thanks girls!!!

Re: Miss Debbie's (day care)

Hey there! I know A LOT about that area b/c I did my research when I was prego and working in Woodbury. I wanted DC (didn't know his sex at the time) to be at the best place I felt comfortable with. Here's what I remember (mind you this was a while ago b/c DS is 16 months now and I was doing the research when I was 20 weeks prego)

Miss Debbies - heard AMAZING things about it. I even know a teacher there b/c it's a sales guy's wife. She said it's great, BUT they are pricey. A bit out of my price range AND the wait list was getting ridiculous for only 20 weeks prego there was no room for when I needed them

Tutor Time in Syosset - did not get a good vibe from them. LOVED the director and the school was nice and clean, but wasn't 100% thrilled with the infant room teacher. She was flaky and kept taking her eyes off the babies to show me stuff.

Hebrew Academy (I think that's the name) - It's too big of a school I thought and they were closed way too often for the Jewish holidays

Kiddie Academy in Syosset - Mason went there. I visited 3 times b4 I made my decision. LOVED the Director, the way the school was run, the owner (although she was a little flaky sometimes too) the Infant room teacher AT THAT TIME was AMAZING. Mason LOVED her. She actually left and I can't help you with who's there now. I do know a few in the infant room and liked them a lot.

Please FM me for more info. Mason was there from 3 months till about 14 months when we moved to NJ and now he's in a daycare here
