Mirena?
Hi Ladies
Has anyone here after used Mirena for birth control? My OB recommended it, and I'm wondering if anyone has had any positive/negative experiences with it.

I've had it for a year and love it! At first, I was a little dissapointed , I had a lot of spotting. If we decide on a third, I will definitely get another after. It's great not really thinking about BC. There are a few other girls here with it too. Do a search...you'll probably come up with a few topics!

I will not lie, the first month I spotted for a whole month. Not like a period, it was just there when I wiped (sorry if TMI). Then as my body adjusted, I got my AF every 4 weeks, and it was so light, again it was hardly there. Now is practically not there. No side effects like when I was on the pill years ago. and your fertility returns as soon as you remove it.
We've been thinking about a 3rd, and if we do, I will more than likely have it put in again after a 3rd.
