The time has come for a minivan! Any feedback on the Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey??? Any other models you'd recommend???

Re: Minivan Recs
We have the 2016 Honda Odyssey. I love it!!! It drives so well. It's so comfortable, everything seems easier now in terms of getting the kids in/out, traveling long distance (we put 2,000 miles on it the 1st 2 weeks bc we drove FL to NY). I couldn't be happier and we held out a long time on the minivan. We have the entertainment system. Love it! Was against it at first but it has been very useful at times.
I checked out both the Odyssey and the Sienna at last year's auto show and I knew I wanted the Odyssey. I didn't even go look at the Sienna so I can't comment on how they specifically compare.

I love my Sienna, but I wish I could put a car seat in the center of the second seat. I've been thinking of getting an Odyssey or Chrysler Pacifica for that reason.

We love our Odyssey. We knew we were going to get an Odyssey so I can't compare it to other minivans, but I don't have any complaints.

I have a 2016 Honda Odyssey. We are very happy with it. It has good storage, good space inside, and a lot of good features (backup and side camera). We put 20,000 miles on it the first year. For a big car it gets decent gas mileage.

I have the sienna. It was cheaper for us because we aready had a Toyota lease. My first choice was the odyssey because of the extra car seat room. The sienna was second best for the car seats, but I love it.

I have 2016 odyssey and I love it. I often have 3 car seat across the middle row. That really is one of the best features. I love the way it drives. We drove it from New York to SC and it was so comfortable on the long distance drive.
ETA it's great on gas. We had a pilot and traded in for an odyssey and it's much more efficient

Re: Minivan Recs
I have a sienna XLE AWD. Really love it. For us the deciding factor was AWD. Didn't look at the Odyssey because the Sienna is the only minivan that offers it. I HAVE to get to work no matter the weather so there wasn't a second thought.

Odyssey is the most car seat friendly mini van.

Thanks!!! Is the odyssey roomier and more seating? That's what I'm looking for.

I know someone with the Chrysler Town & Country and is happy with it, she got a lot of extras in it for the price.

We have a 2014 Sienna and love it. I do wish we had upgraded and gotten the leather seats. We rented a Chrysler Town and Country in florida last year and actually really liked it. It was an upgraded model so that may have been why. It had a lot of bells and whistles. It did feel smaller than the Sienna.

We have a 2012 Honda Odyssey and love it. Lots of room, handles nicely, feels more buttoned down while driving than the toyota (at the time).
We got the EX-L with RES and love it. At the time we got it a bit below invoice price too. They redesigned the Odyssey for 2017, so take a look.
my wife's family had horrible luck with Chrysler products, so we nixed the Chyrsler right off the bat.

The town and country, grand caravan, and vw Routan (I think that's their minivan) are all the same style and are generally hated by cpsts because of the 3rd row. The seat belts on the outboard seats in that row don't sit properly on most people and there is a lack of tether points.
Actually they stopped making the T&C I believe.

Re: Minivan Recs
We just got a sienna in July and love it. We test drive the odyssey and just did not like the feel of it as much. We also looked at the Pacifica and liked it but they weren't as willing to work with us on price as Toyota. Definitely drive them all before deciding anything.

Re: Minivan Recs
kia isn't as popular, but it has some great features! and it has a higher base, so if you drive in NYC/potholes, it's a good thing
