Mini beach vacation out east, any recs...
My sister is coming in from Canada in the summer and we wanted to go somewhere for a night or two out east. Looking for any recommendations. It doesn't have to be in Montauk, I heard there are really nice beaches in orient point.
I have never been to Montauk or to any of the beaches in suffolk so any help would be appreciated.

Green port has some good places, nothing fancy at all, clean and on the peconic bay.,calm water for kids but need water shoes.

We did Montauk a few years ago and really enjoyed it.
We stayed at Ocean Beach on South Emerson. Nothing fancy, but our room opened to a deck that led right to beach. And only a few blocks from town. Great location.

I would definitely recommend Montauk - laid back, great beaches (make a bon fire at night) and some great places to eat (Go to the Montauket a bit before sunset for an amazing site and then you can eat there.)
