Milk Supply question
I'm doing both bf and ff. Unfortunately I got in the habit of ff more than bfing out of convenience. I've started to bf more but it's not enough so we still supplement with formula. With me bfing more often, will my supply increase on its own? It seems like it has, but it happened quick.
Still when I pump I'm only getting about 3oz...ugh

Re: Milk Supply question
The more you BF, the more you will produce. I also drank Mother's Milk Tea and ate oatmeal once or twice a day to increase my supply, though I had a great supply and just wanted to increase it so I could freeze plenty for when I went back to work.

Re: Milk Supply question
Instant oatmeal is fine. I bought the tea in Stop and Shop in the organic/natural aisle. I also remember reading somewhere that to increase your supply you can pump after each feeding. I think it tricks your body into producing more milk. People on here also recommended More Milk, but I was too impatient to order it since I couldn't find it near my house.

Yeah I heard about this. But I don't want to smell like maple syrup lol and if it tastes gross oy lol
But it worked for you? I've heard mixed things.

Re: Milk Supply question
I am exclusively pumping and I drink Mother's Milk Tea in the morning instead of coffee. It's gross but milk and sugar help it go down. I have 2 tea bags in about 16oz of water and I'm done. I eat Lactation Cookies. Just google it and you'll find the recipe. They are VERY good! I also take Fenugreek, Blessed Thistle, and Alfalfa 3xa day. I just follow the recommended daily dose at the max and it works. The Fenugreek pills smell like maple syrup, but I never noticed a taste. All tea, herbs, and specialty ingredients for the cookies can be bought at a local health food store or online. I have noticed an increase, but not that much. I have also not been eating as much, resting as much, or pumping as often. When DD does BF I pump after. Try power pumping, longer pumps, pumping after she eats, and try to get 8 sessions in a day if possible. It takes a few days to a week to notice a difference, but it does help. Also warm massage during pumping and being relaxed helps to induce let down and up the supply. Unfortunately breastmilk is a supply and demand thing so just try to increase the demand.
