Milk protein allergy Mom's...

DS will be 15 months old on jan 24th. I am going to start to transition him to milk next week and pray for the best. He is still on Elecare. He is still having issues with soy, so I can't give him soy milk...He gets 6 ounce bottles, so should I give him 1 ounce of milk and 5 ounces of formula and wait a few days and up it...He has had cookies with milk in them and had no problems. But it is probably broken down a lot...Should I try him with yogurt first...Or is there some thing I can give him that may be easier on his belly????

My Dr said try cheese and yogurt first, all dairy products...then transition to the milk...We did great..Chloe eats all dairy and milk with no issues.

Lots of luck!

Both my nieces had it and transitioned with no problems at all.

My nephew has it too -- he is doing fine with yogurt still has a few months before mik since he isn't 1 yet.

try yogurt first- the proteins are more broken down (is that proper grammar?!) than straight cows milk.
