milk protein allergy- birthday cake
So my DS has a milk protein allergy and has been on nutramigen since 1 month old. We are having his first bday party tomorrow. I want to make him a little smash cake of his own. What should I use to make it? Can he have icing of any kind?

I was surprised to find out that a lot of Duncan Hines cake mixes have no dairy! And some of the icing as well. Just go to the store and read the labels- you'll definitely find something!

I always use Duncan Hines yellow cake mix and regular chocolate frosting (not the milk chocolate). Both are dairy free.
There is also a brand called Cherrybrook Kitchens that you can find in Wild by Nature and I think I've even seen it in Target, it is designed to be allergen free.
