Milk Protein Allergy
My DD is almost 15 months old and still drinking Neocate. I've recently tried her with YoBaby yogurt and some cheese and she's been doing fine so I think it's time to start introducing milk. If you had a baby that transitioned to milk did you just mix 1oz of milk with the Neocate to start? Or did you go to something else after Neocate before milk?

Re: Milk Protein Allergy
My son was on Alimentum. We gradually switched him over to whole milk at 12mo and he did fine.

Re: Milk Protein Allergy
We failed with it (still fail at 2.5)...but the GI said to mix 1oz at a time, upping the milk by 1oz every 4-5 days.

This is the same combination that our Ped had us do. But my DS was on Elecare and he did great with the transition. I think upped it by 1oz every week to give him a little extra time to get used to it.

Milk Protein Allergy
My DD was on alimentum for a suspected milk protein allergy. Per her GI we switched to whole milk cold turkey at a year. We had introduced yogurt and cheese at around 9 months so she had no concerns. The GI was pretty adamant about not mixing (not sure why lots, of people do it).
Anyway, the GIs reasoning for going cold turkey was that she did well with yogurt and cheese (she said tolerating yogurt was a better indicator than cheese). So I would speak with your ped or GI you may not have to mix at all.

Re: Milk Protein Allergy
Our gi had us introduce a little yogurt daily at 12 mos., and he tested her stool a few weeks after, and results were negative for blood in stool. We then got the ok to go full with dairy. I did wean from neocate into milk in the bottle, only bc dd didn't like the taste of milk. PS - to this day, she doesn't drink milk. She never took to it, but she loves cheese and yogurt.
