Milk allergy in BF babies
Hi,
Has anybody had a baby that had a milk allergy, but wasn't affected by dairy products that you consumed?
I've been eating dairy since DD was born and it never bothered her. Around 6 months was the first time I gave her formula and she got hives around her mouth. At 8 months, I gave it to her again and she was fine, no reaction.
Now at 9 months, I gave her yogurt today and she had hives all over her face and neck and threw all the yogurt up.
I thought babies with a dairy allergy would have been affected by the dairy in breast milk?
Will she outgrow this?
Thanks!

Re: Milk allergy in BF babies
My DD was EBF for 11 months and the only dairy I needed to cut out was obvious ones. So no cow's milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, etc. I was however able to eat processed food that had dairy in it. Now, at 2.5 years old my DD is eating the same way I was when I was BF. She still has the allergy.
