Milk

So Joseph'll be one in <gasp!> 9 days and I'm going to start him on milk. My question is - do you use the same "rules" as with formula? Get rid of it after an hour (or so) and no micro? Also did you go right into full glasses or start off slow?

Re: Milk

Danielle, My doctor told me to give Julia milk in the morning, and at night before she goes to bed. I just give it to her in a sippy (full cup), I dont heat it.

Re: Milk

I added milk to replace formula over the course of a week because there is a different taste.

I didn't heat it at all. For the hour rules - I thought of it in terms of would I drink milk that was sitting out for an hour? The answer was no. If they drank a little bit, I refrigerated it immediately.

Re: Milk

Hi to Miranda's birthday twin Chat Icon I've been giving her milk for over a month now. She gets a formula bottle in the morning then I just put milk in a sippy and she drinks on it all day. I take it in and out of the fridge during the day but if we're out for very long with it I throw out whatever is left and just start fresh. I definitely don't follow the same rules as formula although I don't follow those that well anymore either.

Re: Milk

I'm allergic so I have no clue about milkChat Icon Thanks for the info! So, should I just try to give him a full cup of it (4-6oz) or start slow and just give him like 2?
