MIL vent
My MIL is INSISTING Carlie (7 months)says "hi" and waves. She was probably just imitating sounds - that is what they do at this age and as for the waving - she opens and closes her hand all the time - on the changing table. SHE IS NOT WAVING AT YOU AND IS NOT SAYING HI.
I swear she has this kid on a pedestal. g-d forbid Carlie is NOT a genius and is just a normal kid. I am afraid she won't love her.
And even if my child is saying Hi, why tell me so I can be upset that I wasn't there to hear it. It is painful enough to know that daycare spends more time with my daughter than I do, I do not need to be reminded of it.
Vent over!

I'm sorry, I can sympathize with the MIL thing.
Funny thing, she just said to me this weekend I shouldn't be afraid to tell people where to stick it when it comes to DD. I know she was meaning that towards my mom. Oh yeah! I can't wait, it's on now lady!
