Migraine
I have suffered from migraines since I was about 14. I usually take Excedrine and I have a prescription for when they get really bad, all of which doesn't help me now! I've had a few headaches since getting pregnant, but overall, not bad at all. Today I have my first migraine while pregnant. Any suggestions on how to get rid of it without taking meds?

I get headaches a lot... I take tylenol if it's really bad. There r some pressure points that may help.. Temple, behind the neck, in between ur thumb n pointer finger, n i believe between big toe.. U can google pressure pounts to help headaches. Drink lots of water too

Re: Migraine
You can take Excedrin Tension which is tylenol and caffeine. That's what I take now. I have migraines since age 21. If it's an all day migraine I take a Benadryl at night. My neurologist told me to do that. I can't do it during the day bc the benadryl makes me sleepy. It is gets too bad I would see a neurologist. There are things, albeit very limited, that they can give you. Just had a 24 hour migraine Tuesday into Wednesday. Not fun. Feel better.
As a side note after having my DS my migraines greatly improved and I was virtually migraine free for 3 years. Then they came back. Hoping they go away after this preg also.

Re: Migraine
They have these cooling strips you can buy - they look like maxi pads lol - but they go on your forehead and stick there. Then, they cool your forehead for like hours. I had a terrible headache a few weeks ago and this was the only thing that helped. You can buy them at any drug store or CVS type of place. I'm sorry I forget the actual name of them.
HTH!!!

Re: Migraine
I usually get horrible migraines and take Imitrex nasal spray but now I can't. My OB said I can take Excedrine Migraine but if I continue to get them to let him know becauses he doesn't want me taking it to often. Only had one so far thank god.

Migraine
I feel your pain... always grew up with migraines and they got progressively worse throughout my pregnancy. My only saving grace was accupuncture. I go every two weeks and still haven't had a migraine (it's been like 6 months by now)! Also, a migrastick may help or a sinu-mask (can find both on amazon).
