Middle school ELA people
I am working on the 7th grade curriculum for next year. We don't have textbooks so I'll be doing primarily novels. This year we read 4-but we definitely sat on the first one for too long. However, I am also going to do poetry throughout the year and add a short story unit.
So, 4 novels again or 5?

i did 5 with my 7th graders plus a short story unit..i actually would love to do 6 instead of just 5..

I did not get to as many as I would have liked this year. I think 4 plus a short story unit and poetry throughout is a good mix.
