Mickey Christmas party
Has anyone gone recently? Is it like the Halloween party (super short walk on ride lines)? I don't really care about seeing special characters or hot chocolate... we will be doing a ton of Christmas stufff this year. I would be going instead of doing the day on a Friday vs going on a Saturday. Kids will stay up until 9pm... so it's 4-9.

Mickey Christmas party
We went last year, LOVED it!! The parade was AWESOME...highlight of the night for us! We also loved all of the treat stands with free treats, each was something different (snow cones, cookies, different flavors of hot chocolate, etc.)...but if your kids can't stay up for it, I wouldn't bother with the party honestly. I would just stick to going during the day, since you get an ENTIRE day to play...not just 5 hours (and the party isn't cheap).
When we went last year it was COLD, we went on December 12th and it was about 40 degrees at night!!

Mickey Christmas party
I've been and loved it. It's really cute. But we didn't go with kids. We did it a night that they had magic hours and went 7 tI'll midnight. It was empty and amazing. No wait for anything. Also the admission was about half the normal price which was nice.

Re: Mickey Christmas party
The price is no longer cheap, it's up to $105 for an advance ticket purchase (which is crazy how much it went up!)

Re: Mickey Christmas party
It isn't cheap. It's only $20 pp less than admission the day I'm interested.
I guess what I'm interested in is if the rides and attractions are essentially walk on like during the Halloween party. My other option is to go on a Saturday. I've never gone on Saturday.

That's crazy! I went 2 years ago and it was like $65 -$75pp. But yes, on the weeknight there weren't any lines. Maybe 15 minutes max.

No, the rides were not just walk on when we went, but nor were they at the Halloween party for us either. There was a 20ish wait for headliners, and shorter waits for the other rides, but definitely not walk right on unfortunately. I remember it USED to be that way like 15 years ago when we went!

Re: Mickey Christmas party
I went last December. It was ok. My kids were very young though, DD wasn't even 3 1/2 and DS was just shy of 16 mos. We didn't do rides, so I couldn't tell you about wait times. We grabbed dinner, and then got our spots and waited for the parade. DS pretty much fell asleep in my arms and woke up towards the end of the parade. Lol. We also stayed for the fireworks, which were nice. We didn't do any of the snack stuff, hot chocolate, etc. DD really enjoyed it but she was at a good age and loved pretty much everything!
I think it would've been better if the kids were older and we could've taken more advantage of it. I also thought it was pricey.

That's no good! I skipped last 2 years... but went the previous 2 years in early September (super low season) and literally walked on all rides... it was so great, we literally did all the rides and the parade/fireworks. I remember mine train was walk on and it was quite new... that was the last time we were there. I'd be happy with 4 hours of short lines (I would be solo with 3 young kids), but not worth it if I have to wait!! I'd pay the extra $20 and go on Saturday for 12 hours. Just... Saturday at Disney... ugh.

Keep in mind that while party ticket holders can enter the park at 4, people without party tickets can stay in the park until 6.
