Michael Lohan: Jon Gosselin 'Would Love To Be Friends' With Kate
SOUTHAMPTON, New York -- While Jon Gosselin has been linked to Hailey Glassman and tabloid reporter Kate Major in the weeks since announcing his split from estranged wife Kate, the "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star may have a bromance on his hands, too.
Michael Lohan, who has been hosting Jon during his current trip to the Hamptons, was photographed with his new pal in Southampton, where according to People, the pair attended a business meeting, took a beachside walk and even shopped at J. Crew before heading off to a polo match.
But according to Michael, it's wife Kate that Jon wants to be friends with.
"He would love to be friends with her," Michael told People. "They had eight kids and he would like to work things out the right way and just be friends."
However, he added that Jon's been in good spirits since stepping out on his own.
"He's fantastic and upbeat and said that he just wanted to concentrate on his kids and his career and his life," Michael told the mag. "It's overwhelming for him but he's handling it."
That career may include what Michael called "a lot of opportunities... opening up for him."
According to E! Online, Jon may be considering his own reality show.
He has a number of episodes left on the current season of "Jon & Kate Plus 8."
"Jon has a lot of things going on now with his career," a source reportedly close to Jon told the site. "He is looking into some major international endorsement deals and it looks like he is going to have his own show."
