Metformin TMI (sorry)
When you started taking metformin what where your tummy symptoms? Did they eventually go away?

metformin did a number on my stomach in the beginning. it was horrible. i was scared to go anywhere b/c i always needed to be near a bathroom. it did get better over time but i still have "bad" days on it. for me, it also has to do with what i eat. i notice that when i eat fatty or carb heavy foods, it really messes up my tummy.

The first few days I had a little discomfort, not much, but after a few days I had no issue with it. I've been taking 1500mg/day forever now and it's no different then popping a vitamin for me!! My body is VERY use to it, you will adjust too!

I have been on it for a while and I haven't been thr same! Any change of rx or diet and I'm sick! Although I'm not a diabetic or insulin resistant but using it for pcos like ovaries!

I had diabetes but my A1C is now considered normal but they put me on it for PCOS and to see if it had any effect on the endometriosis. I don't remember being this sick years ago when I went on in for diabetes but then I had to go to insulin because of some allergies.
