I just wanted to share this recipe - I have been making it for ages - its sooo good and you would never ever know it was low fat!
hearty turkey chili
POINTS® Value | 4 Servings | 6 Preparation Time | 25 min Cooking Time | 50 min Level of Difficulty | Easy
main meals | Chili, with all it`s spices and flavor, is a great opportunity to take advantage of ground turkey - it`s a little more bland, but usually much leaner, than regular ground beef.

1 tsp vegetable oil 1 large onion(s), chopped 2 medium garlic clove(s), minced 2 medium carrot(s), thinly sliced into rounds 1 pound lean ground turkey 2 Tbsp chili powder 1 Tbsp paprika 1 tsp ground cumin 1 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes 2 medium tomato(es), chopped 1 cup canned tomato sauce 1 cup fat-free chicken broth 1 1/2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 1/2 cup cooked kidney beans, rinsed and drained 1 medium bell pepper(s), chopped 1/2 tsp table salt, or to taste 1/8 tsp black pepper, or to taste Instructions
1. Heat a large pot coated with cooking spray over medium heat. Add oil and onion; sauté onion until soft. Add garlic and carrots and cook until garlic is softened. Add ground turkey and brown meat, about 5 minutes. Stir to break up lumps.
2. Add chili powder, paprika, cumin and red pepper flakes, tomatoes and tomato sauce, broth and vinegar. Bring mixture to a boil and reduce heat. Cover and simmer until meat is tender, 30 to 45 minutes.
3. Add beans and pepper. Simmer, uncovered, until peppers are done, about 10 minutes; season to taste. Yields about 1 cup per serving.

That sounds good. I have all the ingredients except carrots which I don't like anyway. Do you think I could make this in to crockpot?
That's the way I make it.... I brown the turkey first and then just put all the ingredients in the pot. I love the slow cooked taste all the ingredients flavor each other. I let it cook for 2 hours on high (3-4 hours on low).
