Meenan! DON'T DO IT!!

I signed up with them January 10th. Waited a week to get inspection of boiler. Nobody called to schedule. Emailed the salesperson asking what did I have to do to get this inspection, is this something that I have to call and do, or is someone from their company supposed to do this. I was told they were to call me. After a few days, I sent another email about how unhappy I was, there was no follow-up, asked them to cancel my contract (by this point, the gauge on my tank said "fill tank") and give me the $800 back that I gave to them.
Of course, that day I received oil. Even had someone call me to schedule an inspection for March!!

Now - No heat, no hot water. Due to the fact that i DID NOT have an inspection, I am responsible for whatever is wrong.

Does something seem wrong with this? They can't get someone here until March, and I am at fault?

Obviously, they are sending someone over today, and also doing the inspection today...

DON'T SIGN UP WITH MEENAN!!!!!!!

Meenan! DON'T DO IT!!

We've been using them for 5 years and have never had an issue. I've never tried emailing, but whenever I call the reps are nice and always helpful. The service guys are also always nice and they show quickly when we have a problem.

Aside from that, we pay WAY too much to them and will look to change when our contract ends. I saw quotes on here from them for so much less than we pay and it really upsets me.

Re: Meenan! DON'T DO IT!!

i probably posted those prices. That's the only reason I chose them... bottom line- price for oil. Not any more!

This service call is going to cost me a MINT and i bought a service contract.

As a returning customer they will never give you the price a new customer gets. They flat out told me that.

We change companies every year because of this.

To the op. never email. Always call and once you sign the contract you don't deal with the sales rep. Always call and never say ok to the first date they give you for a initial check up. Ask they to check with the service manager

All the oil companies play the same games you just have to know how to play back.

I change companies too. used slomins all while family member worked there, of course got wonderful treatment. never an issue. now, family member is retired. they didn't have best rate, so i had to shop.

I am glad that i have emails. i have something in writing proving conversation, if it gets to the point that i need to "prove" anything. Fortunate thing, the technician was wonderful! i will call tomorrow to commend HIM, but again state my distaste on how much I had to follow through when they should've been providing customer service...
