Medical insurance question

I went to the dr last month and had some tests done. They sent the samples out to the wrong lab...they should have sent it to labcorp as per my insurance company but they sent it to quest diagnostics instead. Now im getting a bill from quest to pay the amount due...$300!!!

am i stuck having to pay this if the dr's office is the one who screwed up?? they participating dr's in my network so they should know the rules, kwim. i really dont wanna pay this. who do i call to get this figured out??

Call and speak with office manager...I am sure that happens all the time...the same thing recently happened with DH...they said just send them the bill and they "would take care of it"

well went i to my docter for some blood work. they did some tests that were done from the office that was not coverd. they wrote me a letter saying i am not financially responsible for the denied services. n that they cant bill me only. i would only have to pay if they knew it wasnt cover by my insurance or i agreed to payed they said if i recieved a bill that i could file a action appeal. but i never got a bill so i never file a appeal but call your insurance and see if u can appeal it.

I worked in Insurance for yrs. To get it paid. Call the insurance company, tell them what happened and ask they to pay it as a courtesy, tell them you have no part in what happened. If the rep says they cant...get a manager on the phone and get MAD. They will cover it. If they dont, FM me and I will tell you what to say next.
