Medela Freestyle users come in.
Does anyone else have a problem when you pump both sides at the same time? I have been getting frustrated with my supply so I pumped one side at a time and got SO much more. The suction must not work properly when pumping both sides. What can I do about it? Anything? It sux, obviously it tales me twice as long now....grrr.

Sometimes I find that I have to relatch the last piece of plastic that goes over the floppy yellow piece to make sure it's tightly on. If I do that while I'm pumping I usually get a stronger auction.

I have tried playing with that too and sometimes if I'm not getting suction that works, but I feel suction when using both correctly, however if i disconnect one side it pumps so much more efficiently.

I never noticed that being a problem, in fact I always thought that pumping both sides at the same time was more efficient.
But you should definitely call the Medela customer service people. They are really helpful and will send you new parts, usually overnight, for free if they think it's a parts problem.
I got new tubing for my rental Symphony from them and it made a huge difference.

i saw that happen sometimes when my battery got low - but it is even not supposed to do that
definetly call medela - they replaced mine and it was over 2 years old but they asked how long i pumped with it and that was only 11 months -so they repalced it for free for me - y issue was that it would not recharge the battery

I'd recommend calling Medela too. The only times I have suction issues are if my tubes aren't attached tightly or if the membrane isn't sitting flat/flush against the valve, which doesn't seem to be the issue for you...
ETA: To answer your original question, I usually get the same amount from each side whether I'm pumping them individually or at the same time...

I had the same suction issues where i would have to reconnect but i always used it as double and it took me quite long to get a good amount. Maybe thats why? I never thought to pump one and see if there was a difference
