Meat in the refrigerator
How long does raw ground beef stay OK in the refrigerator?
For example, if the package said "Sell by Sept 22" would you cook it on Sept 27?

do you mean you bought it before the 22nd, never froze it and it has been sitting in the fridge for a week past it's sell date? No. I wouldnt use it.

I agree. I use the "sell by" as a "cook/freeze by" date.

Agreed - I only keep fresh meat in the fridge for 2 days max regardless of sell by date.
If you freeze the meat first, then you can extend the life of it.
I use the still tasty website all the time.
