Re: Meat

Grocery store and Butcher. I just don't usually find enough of a difference in the taste to justify what is often a HUGE price discrepency.

It's probably because my palate just isn't refined enough to discern the difference. Which is great because I've got a beer pocketbook and can't afford the champagne taste!Chat Icon

Re: Meat

We are steak snobs. We get them from Kansas City Steaks and Omaha Steaks (I like KC better).

I do buy marinated london broil from Uncle Giuseppes and marinated kabobs from Stop and Shop.

im a steak snob too... bil said the steak we made tasted like hibachi compared to the usual crappy waldbuams steak... lol i was like wow thats a little extreme... but if even a 14 year old can taste the difference then its pretty obvious...

I love KC steaks too... i think i purchased my last grocery store steak...

I usually buy meat in the grocery store. Once in a while, I'll stop at the butcher. I keep meaning to check western beef but it's a little out of the way.

Re: Meat

western beef is decent. The supermarket usually isn't that good. I like Whole foods, trader Joes, and Wild by Nature for beef. We ordered from Omaha Steaks and we were very very disapointed. it just wasn't that good at all.
