Measuring ahead..
So, at my 12 wk scan 2 weeks ago today, I was measuring farther along than I am. About 5 days. They didn't change my due date based on it being within a week. but now I'm struggling with how far along I am. Do I go by my LMP or by how I measured 2 weeks ago?

Re: Measuring ahead..
It's normal to measure up or down a few days. If your docs didn't change it, use the EDD you used before your scan.

Re: Measuring ahead..
I know the exact day we conceived b/c I had an IUI. I was also measuring 5 days ahead at 12w. At 20w I was still measuring b/w 3-5 days ahead. They haven't changed my EDD and won't. The baby will come when he wants to come. All babies are different sizes and grow at their own rates so I wouldn't thinks about this so much. Your dr will give you an EDD and you just stick to that.

Measuring ahead..
I've been measuring about 7 or 8 days ahead; but they said they woudln't change my due date. It seems to be pretty normal; plus I figured DH is a big guy; so maybe we just have a big baby!

That's what I've been thinking too. I just read the updates from baby center on what's going on each day and unsure if I'm ready the right day! LOL

Measuring ahead..
I always went by the u/s due date at my first sono (around 8 weeks). My periods were never regular and I've never had 28 day cycles, so LMP made no sense for me. With my second, I was sure of the date I conceived her, and my u/s estimated date matched up to that exact date. After the initial sono, especially later on in the pregnancy, I often measured up a little, down a little. I always stuck with the original date.

Re: Measuring ahead..
I'm measuring 2.5 weeks ahead and they didn't change my due date. Usually with sono's they can be off a week either way or you could just be having a bigger baby.
