I don't like my son's bus driver at all this year. Or the matron either. They are both older and seem very cranky. Prior to September his bus driver and matron were so sweet. His old bus driver told me he reminds her of her own son and how cute he was. And that bus used to have all these Disney stickers on the ceiling.

My son is barely verbal. So the first day of school, it's like he knew already. No stickers on this bus (he looked at the ceiling right away). He's not really bad, just whines. And he matron is like oh he doesn't want to go to school. Once you take his hand, he goes and sits. Just tried not to go (like goes very slowly up the steps and whines the whole time) and once he sits he's fine.

They just seem so mean. And they gave me such a hard about potty training. His school wanted to start (we are in the middle of potty training hell now) and his teacher said ok, no more diapers. So the bus driver told me I have to put him in a diaper for the bus.Chat Icon well, it was a whole thing and his teacher got involved and spoke to the driver.

I wish I could go to a training session when they train these drivers and matrons and talk to them. I know they have a tough job. But they need to understand we are giving them our most precious cargo. They have no idea what may have happened 2 minutes before the bus came (screaming, tantrumming, maybe fighting with siblings, who knows). But the point is they need to be patient with us and more importantly, the children.
