Maybe someone can help me! (Warning its long)
I work overnights, I sleep during the day 4 nights a week, and switch to days the other 3 nights. I don't always get enough sleep, and my sleep is usually not the best, especially during the day. Well, for the last few months, I have been having a hard time falling asleep. It started off when I tried to sleep after work (day). Just when I was about to fall asleep, my heart would start racing, and I would get dizzy. I also felt like someone was holding my throat, or something was stuck. I got a upper endoscopy to see if it was acid reflux. The doctor saw nothing wrong! Now, for the past few Weeks, my symptoms have been happening when I try to sleep at night, on my days off. Last night I felt like someone was sitting on my chest, I also started to get dizzy, and I was jumping up in a panic. I was also having shortness of breath. I had a EKG a few months ago, and nothing was wrong. I went for a physical today, and the doctor said it might be anxiety. I don't really know what a anxiety attack feels like, but I think I maybe having one. I am just not sure why it is happening when I am trying to sleep. Maybe someone can help me. Does anyone get Anxiety attacks, and does this sound like one? TIA

Re: Maybe someone can help me! (Warning its long)
This happens to me sometimes. Ask you dr. about wearing a holter monitor for 24 hours... when I did they were able to see these episodes and see that I have frequent heart palpitations. Then I had a stress test. There is nothing to do for it, but at least get it checked out to make sure it is nothing important!
